General Description
The UltraFast CrossTrainer® brand range of motion machine is a superior piece of exercise equipment that provides a comprehensive workout in only four minutes a day. The user will get cardio, strength, and flexibility training when using the UltraFast CrossTrainer®. It is not like a treadmill or stationary bike in which you exert moderate effort while watching TV. Since the machine adjusts its resistance based on your input you should exert your maximum sustainable effort for four minutes to obtain maximum benefits from use of the machine.
Our range of motion machine has two workout stations: one station for the upper body and one station for the lower body. The length of the workout for the upper body is four minutes; the length of the workout for the lower body is four minutes. Typically, the user will work out on the upper body station one day, and then work out on the lower body station the following day. Since a range of motion exercise machine provides a good strength workout and muscles need 48 hours to recover, it is not recommended to use the same workout station on consecutive days. Also, the machine has a computer for tracking performance during the workout and for providing an overall score upon completion of the workout. These scores can be used to track your progress.

Physical Size
The UltraFast CrossTrainer® weighs approximately 440 lbs and is 32” wide, 115” long (with the arms extended forward), and 50” high.
When positioning the range of motion machine for use near walls there should be a minimum clearance of 14” on either side and a minimum clearance of 16” from the rear. Overall, the required footprint during use is 60” (5 feet) wide by 132” (11 feet) long (this footprint includes the minimum required wall clearances).
The recommended ceiling height for using the UltraFast CrossTrainer® is 8’. However, the machine can be fully utilized by a 6’ tall person when the machine is in an area with a 7’ ceiling.
For long term storage the arms of the UltraFast CrossTrainer® may be folded back against the seat. In this position, the machine is 24” wide, 93” long, and 54” high.
Instructions for Use
The UltraFast CrossTrainer® can be used daily if the user is working out on only one station. In this scenario, the user should alternate working out on the upper body station one day and the lower body on the following day (or vice versa). The length of the workout should be 4 minutes to gain optimum benefit. If the user has not been an active exerciser prior to using our range of motion exercise machine, he should start his workouts at 2 minutes and gradually increase the length of the workout to 4 minutes. Also, especially if the user has been inactive, a physician should be consulted before initiating any new exercise program.
Both stations of the UltraFast CrossTrainer® can be used on the same day, but the same station should not be used on consecutive days. Since one of the main elements of the machine is strength training, the user’s muscles need 48 hours to recover. Therefore, if both stations are used on the same day, the UltraFast CrossTrainer® should be used on alternate days to achieve optimum benefit.
The UltraFast CrossTrainer® may be used in combination with other exercise programs, if so desired. If our range of motion machine is used in combination with another strength training program, the upper body station should be used on days when upper body strength training occurs, and the lower body station should be used on days when lower body strength training occurs.
There are four features to set on the UltraFast CrossTrainer® prior to working out, all of which take less than one minute:
- Flywheel Resistance – There are 50 different resistance settings for the flywheel, each one slightly different. For your initial workout, the resistance should be set at approximately the user’s weight.
- Computer – When the power is turned on to the computer it automatically is set to the upper body workout program (UP1) for a workout duration of 4 minutes. If the lower body workout program (LO1) is desired, the user simply uses the pushbutton to toggle to the LO1 program. If a longer or shorter workout is desired, the user can change the workout length in increments of 15 seconds by using the appropriate pushbutton.
- Seat Height (adjusted for upper body only) – There are four different settings. Select the setting that is recommended for your height.
- Footrests (adjusted for upper body only) – There are eleven different settings. Ideally, the footrests are positioned such that your thighs are parallel to the floor.
- After these settings are complete, the user may begin the workout.
At the end of the workout, the computer will provide you an overall workout score. If the score is above 115, the resistance should be increased. If the score is below 100, the resistance should be decreased. Thereafter, the challenge should be to achieve a new high score.
